What kind of therapy should you choose?

With so many different types of psychotherapy and counselling available, it can be hard to know which type is right for you. Should you try CBT or Mindfulness or Psychodynamic Counselling?

In my experience, often, what matters most is to do with the kind of therapeutic working relationship you feel you can develop with your therapist or counsellor.  I think finding someone you feel you can talk your concerns through in a confidential setting is really important.  Therapy is a process, and finding someone that you feel able to work with is a key part of that process. I think that maybe more important than what type of therapy or counselling you choose.
